Reading list

April 27th, 2010

Hey guys, I need your help with something! I’m trying to expose myself to books different than the ones I would pick up in a store. I know there are a lot of fantastic books out there and I want to read them! If you could take two seconds and reply to this post with your favorite book, or books, that would make for a great summer reading list. You can explain why it’s your favorite and what you like about it, but you don’t have to. Who knows, you might inspire some other people to read your favorite pick as well!

What kind of books do you like to read? My favorite book is “The Eye of the World” by Robert Jordan. It is the first book in the “Wheele of Time” series. It’s a fantasy novel (which is pretty much what i read) There’s great description throughout the book and it introduces a very interesting world. The Characters are awesome and i got attached to them pretty quickly. I think it’s great (i can be oppinionated though) you should check it out. It’s really long but give it a few chapters. I also really enjoy Star Wars novels. There are a ton of them out there (i’ve read over 100 of them) I’ve also read a lot of fantasy novels that are really good as well.

Novels, I enjoyed Fight Club, The Road, and just started reading The Book of Lost Things per my sister’s recommendation; if you like a good narrative voice, give this one a try.

But in the last month or so I’ve been on a hefty comic book binge. I can provide a list of stellar comic books, if you’re inclined to try that sort of thing.

Ooh, comics are fun! I’ve never been able to afford them though. I’ll get a collection every now and then from the library though. I’m hoping to start reading again this summer, i haven’t read much these past few months :(
